This clearly demonstrates innovation because it improves an already existing product ~ The original IPad. This innovation has enhanced the original/previous product by making it much lighter, although it is still the same size, and just as durable as before. Therefore this product is considered innovation because it is an improvement to an already existing product, and people who say that Apple can "no longer innovate" are fallacious.

Self Driving Cars
Self-driving cars might seem like a thing of the future, but not anymore. In October, 2013 Google revealed that it had, developed technology for cars that can drive themselves! These cars use video cameras, radar sensors and a laser range finder to "see" oncoming traffic, as well as detailed maps to navigate the road. Google says its auto-drivable cars have logged over 140,000 miles of maps, and have traveled from its Mountain View campus to Santa Monica, across the Golden Gate bridge and even to Lake Tahoe. But if you're eager to get one for yourself, you'll have to wait, Google says the cars aren't yet ready for sale just yet...
The self-driving car is certainly a work of innovation, because it is a product made completely based on ideas for improving the original ~ A normal car. It definitely fits the definitions from both 2 sources, as while as my own definition of innovation!
